This is the last step in the democratic process available to applicants. You may write to the Minister requesting him/her to overturn or intervene in the decision made by the INZ and or IPT on your application.

You may also write to the Minister if you believe that your situation is special. This may be applicable in some cases where applicants who do not meet the strict criteria of a certain current immigration instructions. The Minister then has the power to grant residence or direct INZ to re-assess the application.

Please make sure though that you have followed the democratic process and that the reason that you wish to write to the Minister is a result of being unable to solve the issue(s) directly with INZ

Please contact TNC for more information.

IPT Report 2017

Please click here for some interesting reading noting that on average still 33% of Appeals with the IPT is allowed! This does not take into account those people who have returned to their country not knowing about the Appeal process or not wishing to lodge an Appeal. Interesting question you could ask yourself: what does that say about the quality of a Decision from INZ?
