Investor team moving to NZTE
From 1 July, Immigration New Zealand’s (INZ) Investor Migrant Attraction and Aftercare function is moving to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).
Over the past 12 years our investor team has led a programme to attract investor migrants who have brought more than $12 billion to New Zealand.
Ministers agreed to transfer the function to NZTE to:
- more effectively match potential investor migrants investors and businesses with investment opportunities in New Zealand,
- create a single government contact point for investors seeking advice on opportunities, and
- separate the migrant attraction and visa application decision-making functions. Decision-making on investor visa applications remains with INZ.
We have been working with NZTE to ensure a smooth transition for our people, customers and stakeholders.
